Welcome to DOG & Coast.  We are a UK based dog boutique providing you with handcrafted dog products made using UK sourced manufactured materials and suppliers. This is to ensure our products from start to finish are as Eco friendly as possible  - better for your dog and the environment!  All our products are made in my workshop in a coastal town in East Devon. 


We pride ourselves on making top quality handcrafted products made to last.  Our aim is to help you shop confidently, knowing the products we make are made using ethical and sustainable ingredients and materials.

🌱 When it comes to posting our products, we ensure our packaging is good for the planet too! This means your order won’t come in fancy packaging, instead it will come lovingly packaged in a Kraft box or envelope with minimal recyclable & biodegradable filling. Where possible we recycle packaging from our suppliers too that has already been used (unfortunately this can include plastic) hopefully to be used again and again!  🌱

All our products are sent by Royal Mail 48hr tracked as standard. As all of our products are made to order they do have individual lead times.

Care Details for Leads & Collars

Cotton Rope Leads & Collars
As our cotton rope leads & collars are hand dyed it is recommended to use a damp cloth to remove dirt. They can be washed by hand in warm soapy water but this may fade the colour of the leads over time - do not leave to soak or the colour will fade. Hang wet leads and allow to dry naturally. To avoid silver hardware from rusting make sure you dry them immediately after washing. Alternatively, choose our solid brass hardware.

Climbing Rope Leads
These leads are robust! They can be either washed by hand or popped in the washing machine (inside a pillow case). To avoid silver hardware from rusting make sure you dry them immediately after washing.. Alternatively, choose our solid brass hardware.

BioThane & Waterproof Leads
These leads are robust! They can simply be wiped down by hand to removed mud or dirt. To avoid silver hardware from rusting make sure you dry them immediately after washing. Alternatively, choose our solid brass hardware.

Waterproof Rope Leads
These leads are robust! They can be either washed by hand or popped in the washing machine (inside a pillow case). To avoid silver hardware from rusting make sure you dry them immediately after washing. Alternatively, choose our solid brass hardware.

We test every product and hardware before sending.  However, please check regularly for wear and tear. We recommend to always check your dog’s walking accessories before use.

About Us

DOG & Coast is a small family run business in East Devon making beautiful handcrafted sustainable dog accessories. We started out when we realised that we were unable to purchase none or very little sustainable products for our own dogs.

I am a proud owner of 2 dogs myself, a Border Collie and a Labrador and ensuring their carbon pawprint 🐾 is minimal to the environment is important to me.

We are passionate about making products that you and your dog will love and pride ourselves on making top quality handcrafted products made to last!
